The front of the base measures 48" across for maximum stability during play. The ballast area (ballast not included) is designed to accept (23) 4"x 8"x 16" solid cement blocks each weighing 30 lbs. (690 lbs. total). The unit rides on six 4" non-marking wheels for easy "one person" portability. The front two wheels can be lowered to the floor using a crank handle for easy one-person positioning. After the unit is in position for play, the crank handle is again used to retract the front wheels up into the base unit. Front foot pads hold the unit in place for play UPRIGHTS & EXTENSION ARM The main angular upright is constructed of 3"x 5" x 3/16 gauge steel tubing. A zinc-plated telescoping member is constructed of 2"x4" x 11 gauge steel tubing. The horizontal extension arm is made of the same 2"x 4"x 11 gauge material. The angular upright and extension arm is designed to allow for a minimum of 48" setback from backboard to base with the rim adjusted to 10'.  The extension arm allows for the direct mounting of the rim which eliminates backboard stress when rim is contacted. Two tubular braces further support the upper corners of the backboard. Horizontal extension arm can be collapsed to allow the unit to pass under any standard-height double doors. ADJUSTMENT Rim height is adjustable from regulation 10’ height down to 6’6" via the "EZ-CRANK" box-mounted worm-gear. The crank is easy to adjust with just one person. BASE & UPRIGHT PADDING Unit is equipped with standard 2” thick foam padding mounted on 7/16” wafer board covered with a 14 oz reinforced vinyl laminate. Padding shall be secured via 5/16" machine bolts. Padding doesn't need to be removed during folding adjustment, transportation or storage. Colors are available. BACKBOARD Constructed of 3/8” thick tempered glass with bright white markings. The framework is constructed from clear anodized aluminum “L” type extrusions. RIM Flexible rim absorbs the stress of player contact.
