The front of the base measures 32" across for maximum stability during play and 54" front to back. The ballast area (ballast not included) is designed to accept (10) 4"x 8"x 16" solid cement blocks each weighing 30 lbs. (300 lbs. total). The unit rides on three 4" non-marking wheels for easy "one person" portability. The front two wheels can be lowered to the floor by pivoting the front pad forward for easy one-person positioning. UPRIGHTS & EXTENSION ARM The main angular upright is constructed of 4" x 4" x 11 gauge steel tubing. A zinc-plated telescoping member is constructed of 3" x 3" x 11 gauge steel tubing. The horizontal extension arm is made of 2" x 3" x 11 gauge material. The angular upright and extension arm is designed to allow for a minimum of 30" setback from backboard to base with rim adjusted to 10'. Units with less than 30" setback aren't considered equal. Extension arm design provides for direct rim mounting to the extension eliminating backboard stress when rim is contacted. Two tubular braces further support the upper corners of the backboard. Horizontal extension arm is collapsible to allow unit to pass under/through any standard-height double doors. ADJUSTMENT Rim height is adjustable from regulation 10’ height down to 6’6" via the "EZ-CRANK" box-mounted worm-gear. The crank is easy to adjust with just one person. BASE & UPRIGHT PADDING Unit is equipped with standard 2” thick foam padding. Padding is secured via velcro straps. Padding doesn't need to be removed during folding adjustment, transportation or storage. Colors are available. BACKBOARD Constructed of 3/8” thick acrylic with bright white markings. The framework is constructed from clear anodized aluminum “L” type extrusions. RIM Flexible rim absorbs the stress of player contact.
